- Smith's — Stax1.75
I purchased a ‘canister’?of Smith's Stax. It is described as a canister.. It is a tube. I have chosen not to pursue this. This chip grew up watching Pringles on TV and thought, "I could do that." Smith's Stax is that kid at school who copied your haircut, your backpack and the way you say "heaps," then turned up on Monday pretending it was their idea. The chips taste of potato in the way a photo of a beach smells of the ocean. You can tell what it's meant to be…You just aren't there.

The lime flavour was like a colleague who joins the Teams call, says "hi," and immediately goes on mute. I knew it was there…. I just couldn't prove it. Overall, I recommend for gentle dipping only, or for people who enjoy fishing chip fragments out of guacamole with their fingers.

Great, now every time I see someone sitting mute and camera off on a Teams call I'm going to call them as a Lime!
They come in a tube, which is fine until roughly halfway down, when the tube stops cooperating and your hand gets wedged. Tastes like a chip that had read about potatoes.

Some cheese dust did become airborne on opening. It landed. That was the extent of the weather event. I ate the contents over a period of roughly eight minutes. This is faster than most tornadoes, which can last up to an hour. So in that respect, it underperformed.

0 commentsSign in to commentThe bag claims they are really cheesy. I have checked, and this is accurate. Each Wotsit is roughly the size and shape of a small orange caterpillar. They weigh nothing. I ate a handful and the bag did not appear to get any lighter, which I found briefly concerning. The flavour is cheese, in the sense that a postcard of Paris is Paris. It is strong and confident, and it stays with you, mainly on your fingers, where it will remain until Thursday.

Aggressive cheese dust? This should be on a warning label!

You're just explaining why these chips are universally loved (except for celiacs)
Grain Waves gets me in its marketing. The word "grain" does heavy lifting here, like a personal trainer pushing a girl who's mostly sour cream and chives. Every crunch whispers, "You're basically eating a muesli bar." You are not. But you nod along, because oh… how you want to believe. The crumbs at the bottom are a whole separate meal, you'll pour these into your mouth while staring at the wall like an animal.

Next time I look at grain waves i'm going to be thinking of a personal trainer!
The secret lab grown cheese dust wants to cling to my molars, and the dust is practically radioactive. If it comes into contact with fabric, a stain is likely. I would not recommend this snack to anyone who wants a romantic encounter.

0 commentsSign in to commentThey are french fries shaped, so they are long and thin, so sometimes they poke me in my gum when I am eating them. These would not suit someone who has sensitive dental issues because they are a bit on the harder side. Super salty, and moorish, eating them gets kinda messy, you realise quickly that you have to abandon the 1 by 1 approach and end up shoveling them in using your hand as a front loader.

0 commentsSign in to commentThese aren't chips. They're load-bearing. You could scoop concrete with one and it would ask for a second dip. In all honesty I've seen flimsier patio furniture. My secret move: I crush a handful straight into my fajitas. Is it a tortilla in a tortilla? Yes. Is that legal? Unclear. Does it add a crunch so loud my neighbours think I'm renovating? Absolutely.

0 commentsSign in to commentThe flavour is a two-act play. First the sweet chilli shows up like a mate who's had one too many: warm, but a little loud. Then the sour cream arrives like his sensible partner to calm everyone down. Together they're the best couple at the barbecue. My only complaint is consistency, every bag is either life changing, or tastes like it spent a gap year in a deep fryer. Overall, would betray my diet for again.
