Easily one of my favorite chips - I love the peppery flavour, generally intense and the slow heat build. Perfectly paired with the Dorito texture, my one regret is finding out these have beef powder and so are not vegetarian friendly. My life's regret - eat them for me!

The 'Sprechen sie Chip' tour: Chakala is a South African relish - the flavour has a tomato base, some additional spicy and savoury layers, and a little bit of heat. I quite enjoyed them. There's some added sweetness, however the flavour doesn't build or go anywhere. I ate a lot of these, rather quickly. These are thin cut standard chips - wavy in nature. A little greasy but not dissimilar to the other wavy cut chips. I believe Funnyfrisch is a standard offering - like Smith's or Samboy.

The 'Sprechen sie Chip' tour: In my German tour I was also able to access some US chips. Ranch as a flavour, putting it on everything, is often derided. I was expecting this to be cloying and disgusting but ended up liking it. It is mellow - similar to Sour Cream and Onion flavours you would find. Per premium chips, these are thicker in their cut. Eery easy to pound the bag as the flavour builds without being overpowering, and the salt didn't strip your mouth bare. Premium packaging.

US TOUR: Delish - super limey and the jalapeno taste is great too. They have a bit of heat that is more integrated into the lime, like a salsa. Maximum intensity and the ruffle design holds huge amounts of flavour. 100 times the flavour intensity of red rock lime and black pepper. They do have the whey powder in them, which think gives them a 'pasty' taste and mouth feel but in this case survives okay. My love for Ruffles texture is well known, definitely going back for more on this trip.

Initially, quite a lot of the underlying Twistie saltiness is present almost convincing you that just maybe these would be a pleasant surprise. No such luck, the sickly blueberry taste builds within a few and to a strong, sweet, sour blueberry flavour. I did attempt to eat my way out of the bad, hoping I would be rewarded for persisting... I was not. Appreciate the experience but I will never buy these to eat again. However, I love out of the box thinking for chips and bold choices.

Don't expect a tart, vinegary chip - this more fresh dill. I was initially puzzled when it tasted like a salted chip with some fresh herbs. There is a hint of the pickle but it's very far back in the mix, so you really end up with a salted chip with a hint of freshness. Not bad if you're into it but didn't tickle my fancy. A big, premium hand cut chip that gives satisfying crunch but is pretty greasy and this inhibits my ability to smash through a full bag. Not bad... but not that good!

The 'Sprechen sie Chip' tour: I've found that Rosemary is a polarising flavour - fortunately for me, I love it! The rosemary flavour is supported with some other herbs and is strong and present without being massively overwhelming. Lorenz are standard chips like Lays, etc. Wavy in nature, no crinkles. They are quite fine... and easy to smash a bunch but they are a little oily. I'm not sure if the Lorenz brand is considered premium but the packet was nice and solid, packaging looked good.

Similar to the Doritos. Delicious peppery flavour and a low burn heat, with the chili showing in the red colouring. None of this is 'natural' tasting and while Doritos were more cohesive as a flavour, these are great. The Tostitos' vibe was a bit more seasoning on chip, rather than seasoned chip. Tostitos are the wavy corn chip, similar thickness as Doritos. They hung together well (I hate it when corn chips are fickle). Smashed a lot in very few sittings - a good one.

Pretty good - well balanced and not too over the top. It's always going to be hard competing with Smith's S&V (salt of the earth) and Red Rock (bougie). Good vinegar presence with a hint of sweetness, and good salt - can eat volumes. Texturally, almost identical to Smith's, if not a fraction softer (a negative). Standard Australian S&V schema (pink). I'm not sure if the Natural Chip Co is trying to a budget-to-mid market competitor or a semi-premium brand 'with natural'.

So tangy, they make you wince and your eyes close. I think roughly analogous to prawn cocktail sauce flavour. I wasn't a fan at all - shallow tomato, all tang (and not like an Atomic Tomato or equivalent). No depth of flavour for me but kudos to anyone who can survive a pack. A traditional cut chip, with that oily kind of premium look but quite soft relative to other chips in the same category.

Like Australian kettle salt and vinegar - maybe a little less paint stripper vinegar. Quite mellow, and annoyingly, they don't build - common with bougie chips, but it means there's no feeling when your tongue goes numb (boo!). I found, after a break, a bitterness creeps into your mouth. As you'd expect from a kettle, these are pretty greasy but manageable. I think they're crunchier than the Australian Kettles, closer to a Maxx, so a chip you need to put effort into eating.

BBQ flavoured chips are highly varied... These are salty and simple - the powder is caked on so thick you can feel it in your mouth. I dig it - pretty simple without the sweetness commonly found in other bbq, this is bougie spiritual counterpart to Samboy BBQ. They're kettle cut style, very thick - gotta put effort into crunching it. I love good structural integrity, though these are oily like most Kettle cuts. Pretty good looking bag - bougie styling with the pastels and hand drawn artwork.

A bit of Zing but a lot of Tang - these are a bit different to a chili lime corn chip. There's a subtle subtle flavour that on further eating I really enjoyed. I thought the tang would get to me over sustained eating as it is a different kind of tang to salt and vinegar - and that the bright orange dust would also wear me down - but I found they mellowed the more you ate! These are straight cut, thinner than red rocks or kettles... A bit more brittle, I'd have liked some structure.

Whenever a chip has a dairy or meat element - it sends shivers down my spine…Every US brand does a jalapeno but this tastes different. I'm not a strong ranch supporter and the inclusion of a dairy-style flavour makes this feel very synthetic and a bit cloying. Not my cup of tea. Effectively a spicy cheese and onion! I flipping love Ruffles texture - it is the apex and I miss them. Is it absence that makes the heart grow fonder??

Basically what it says in the tin: tastes like a Japanese katsu curry, albeit a bit saltier. I am a big fan but not unanimous amongst by the group. These are tightly ruffled chips, but were broken up as they travelled in luggage from the UK. I would smash a bag of these easy - I'd probably feel very ill but I think I'd say it was worth it. The Tesco packaging not flash and having a supermarket brand also puts them in mid-market territory (no matter 'Finest' on the label).

As you'd expect, horseradish is the prime flavour - if you like wasabi, you'll like these. The roast beef shows as mainly salt and a little MSG flavour, Taste recedes to salt and very dry mouth! Texturally, ruffled - not super fine like Ruffles, quite shallow. Pretty greasy and not a lot of structure - they'd benefit from greater thickness or a little less oil. In packaging, silver as the dominant colour is a bit lame and crumples greatly!

Always with the amchur! Like a raita/chip mix up, you'd be forgiven for thinking these were going to be sweet and herby (mint leaves, cinnamon on the bag). Very savoury with a hint of mint. I find amchur tiresome quickly, consistent with other reviews so didn't care for it in small/large quantities. Texturally, very similar to ruffles - which I flipping love and wish I could get some back! Tough packaging - almost required scissors to get them open, but they look alright!

Pretty rocking - dense flavour. Paprika is hella common flavour in Europe but typically under seasoned and so beige. These were really good but can see them getting a bit sickly . Thick cut, hefty chip, reasonable size and seemed to be wayyyy better than the chorizo one we tried previously. As much as I loved the flavour, I could see it getting sickly after a lot - and it's quite greasy. Like the Chorizo flavour, swish packaging, taking a chip off the block of the 'Popped' chips line.

As best as I can ascertain these ARE vegetarian. For me, it has a weird processed smell and flavour... Savoury in a nondescript way but not clearly identifiable or particularly enjoyable. Salty, at least. A thick cut, hefty chip - reasonable size but when you eat into them they are kinda chalky. I ate these as a sampler - but that chemical flavour is no good and I would not work through a bag. The packaging is pretty swish, similar in vibe to the Popped chips.

Really distinct flavours, with sweetness from sweet chilli, genuine feels like lemon pepper seasoning Unfortunately, they are too fine - and to be fair, the bag took a punishment but they were all broken. Lemon-pepper is a polarising flavour (especially outside of seafood) so these do get trying over time. The fluorescent dusting intense - and the packaging of these rap snacks is all glitz but maybe a bit cheap
